I provide a personal online tuition service for children with reading and other general literacy difficulties in the age range 8 to 14. The course lasts one school year and my services come with a cast-iron guarantee of achieving significant improvement in reading, writing, spelling and grammar. An individual programme is constructed for each child according to his/her needs and interests following a telephone consultation with a parent. All of the necessary materials for the course are provided.
A PC with a printer and headset is required. On receipt of the initial payment, you would be sent the course materials in the form of CD and instructions. We would arrange a mutually suitable time for your child’s weekly appointment – this could be by phone, by skype or via Windows Messenger if your computer has a webcam. Weekly consultations with a parent are also included.
Initially, your child would complete a daily reading exercise at the computer from an online 300 title library without adult support or intervention. He or she would subsequently read the prepared exercise to one or other of his/her parents from the resulting printout on a daily basis. At the weekly online session, your child would read some of his/her exercises to me so that I can judge and determine the direction of his/her work. At appropriate points, more challenging reading is introduced as well as comprehension and dictated writing sessions.
I offer an initial four week taster course for £40. Only if you are completely satisfied with the level of your child’s improvement after these four weeks, you pay the total fee for the one year course and all associated materials which is £460 plus VAT. This is significantly less than paying a tutor an hourly rate and the best investment any parent can make for their child.
